Chrome Dev, more commonly known as devtools, is a broad subset of functionalities introduced by the Google Chrome team. Chrome Dev is a browser-based application that allows users to access dozens of unique, handy developer tools in the Chrome development environment.
Using Chrome Dev, users are able to edit pages, diagnose problems with their website, and develop more robust programs.
There are many ways for users to access Chrome Dev. In an open Chrome browser, users simply need to press Command+Option+C (on Mac) in order to prompt the developer console. From the console, users are able to inspect page elements, source code, and test out small snippets of code in the Javascript console environment.
